Has Your Gilbert Home Experienced Water Damage or Mold?

Your first concern is the health and safety of your family. Water damage can affect electrical systems and structural integrity. But the biggest danger is the water itself, which is contaminated with invisible chemicals, bacteria, and other toxins. It's also attracting bugs and the growth of toxic mold. Be aware of the dangers and keep your family safe.

Next, you want to stop further damage to your property and belongings. You may have a plumbing leak, storm damage, or a sewage backup. Regardless of the type of water damage, it is causing more destruction, more expense, and an increasingly unhealthy environment with each passing day.

You need an action plan. Now.

ATH Restoration provides 24/7 emergency service (if it's a critical situation, call us day or night). Or schedule a free onsite consultation which involves a thorough inspection, damage assessment, and specific recommendations to move water damage restoration forward.

Amazing! After hiring the wrong company, I called ATH Restoration. Nathan is most knowledgeable with outstanding customer service. It's a very stressful situation when you have to call a restoration company. Nathan keeps you calm and walks you through the process explaining every step he will take to make you whole again. He is trustworthy, efficient, professional and honest. Don't make the same mistake I did in calling the wrong company first. Save yourself, just call Arizona Total Home Restoration, they will NOT let you down!

Gilbert Water Damage FAQs

Do I need a flood insurance policy?
Your homeowners' policy does not automatically cover flooding or related water damage. You'll probably need a separate policy. The Town of Gilbert takes part in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). You can get insurance coverage through this program or with your own insurance company.

One tremendous benefit of working with ATH is our insurance services. We advise you on how to prepare a claim, file the claim if you prefer, and will even bill your insurance company direct. We also offer up to 50% coverage of your insurance deductible.

When should I call my insurance company?
Be sure to take plenty of pictures. But, it's a good idea to wait until a professional water damage technician assesses the damage. Some water losses are small enough that insurance never needs to be involved. Most insurance companies will put a mark on your record even if you don’t file a claim just because you informed them there was a water loss.

What can I do to help protect my home from storm damage and monsoons?
First, Gilbert is proactive about stormwater management to include directing the flow of water and reducing pollution from runoff. View their guide for tips on how you can do your part.

Second, Maricopa County offers a comprehensive "Surviving the Storm" guide with some great tips. And third, the town may provide sandbags in preparation for big storms for pickup at local fire stations. Check the Community section of the town's website.

You can also review our Arizona Monsoon Preparation guide.

Is my Gilbert home in a flood zone?
Gilbert slopes from east to west and is susceptible to flooding. But everyone lives in an area with some flood risk. You need not live near water. The town partners with Maricopa County to address problem areas.

Visit Flood Zone Basics at the Gilbert town website for various flood zone resources, including an interactive map so you can look up your address.

Arizona Total Home Water Damage Restoration Process

- Step 1: Identification and Safety
First, we will confirm the source of the water damage and stop any flooding. We also determine the contamination category. And we communicate safety issues to help you take action as needed.

- Step 2: Extraction and Dry-Out
Next, we remove the water in your home with industrial equipment such as pumps, vacuums, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, or other extraction tools. A quick dry-out is essential to reducing mold growth and secondary water damage.

- Step 3: Protection and Demolition
At this phase, we salvage the property and belongings we can clean and contain using a contents packout service. And remove contaminated items that cannot be restored. We then complete demolition of destroyed items and materials.

- Step 4: Testing and Cleanup
Cleaning involves antimicrobial, antibacterial, disinfectant treatments, and deodorization. Our preferred product line is Benefect. Professional sampling and laboratory testing ensure we restore a healthy environment (if needed).

- Step 5: Repair and Restoration
We offer reconstruction services from minor repairs to a full build-out as needed to restore your home to pre-flood condition.

Absolute pros! They responded immediately--I'm talking setting up fans within an hour. We had to leave town for a funeral but I felt completely comfortable having Nathan and his team work in our home. They were tidy, professional, and always easy to reach. On top of all that they're nice people. 100% recommend.
